Job Description:
As an Agency Licensing Specialist for AIL, your duties will include initiating and/or monitoring the life cycle of agents to enable them to sell products for the company.
Direct contact with policyholders, agents and customers by telephone, e-mail, fax and written correspondence occurs regularly.
Responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, recording and retrieval of information/data from multiple sources.
Responsible for the independent evaluation of source documents, verification for accuracy, updating internal and external systems as applicable, prepare reports and manage data storage and retrieval systems, as well as providing exceptional quality customer service in a timely manner.
All tasks for the Licensing Specialist require extreme detail, is considered time sensitive and must be acted upon with a sense of urgency.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Perform various clerical duties and data entry with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to exercise judgmental decisions in an independent manner based on company guidelines.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Must possess a complete understanding of agent licensing/coding, various agency functions and how they interrelate within the department and the company.
Ability to meet department deadlines and efficiently handle distribution to appropriate parties.
Complete understanding of the various agency contracts and state requirements relating to agent licensing.
Ability to utilize various resources to gather information as needed to make informed decisions.
Ability to handle diverse assignments as become necessary in the department- such as internal audit, compliance discussions as well as handling complaints as needed.
Required SkillsMinimum typing requirement of 40 wpm.
Ability to operate standard office equipment as well as various software packages required by the department, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn other programs and applications.
Ability to understand and apply a variety of oral and written instructions, demonstrates initiative.
Must be organized with attention to detail in order to meet necessary deadlines.
Must be flexible to changes in processes and procedures as determined by management or Regulatory entities.
Proficient communication skills including proper grammar, word usage, and punctuation in writing and verbally.
Ability to meet department production requirements with efficiency and accuracy.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
