Operations Supervisor

Position Purpose
This position is responsible for leading the 1st shift Further Processing (Slice line), hourly team members to attain production and quality goals while ensuring the safest working environment possible. The person in this position is responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce in order to improve business results.
A high performer in this position will identify problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolve issues; ensure production resources (including matierals, equipment, and human resources) are available as needed to maintain product schedules; support continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service
Principal Accountabilities
30% - Oversee day-to-day operation of assigned area including work flow, management of work in process, job assignments, rotations, etc.
20% - Ensure safety of workforce through delivery of monthly safety training topics, department safety audits, and participation in incident reviews. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Contribute safety suggestions for improvement.
20% - Support positive employee relations in all aspects of interaction with employees including valuing differences, engagement action planning, and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures which support these goals.
10% - Effectively orient, train, and develop all employees utilizing new hire discussion guides, Job Task Analyses, performance review forms, and other management tools.
10% - Monitor product quality to meet customer specifications, ensuring that Good Manufacturing Practices are effectively deployed in area of responsibility.
10% - Perform essential recordkeeping and timekeeping functions for department personnel using Kronos system. Monitor employee attendance and absenteeism, holding employees accountable as necessary.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Manufacturing operations work experience
Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience strongly preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Bachelors degree
Previous experience with computerized timekeeping systems, such as Kronos
Additional computer skills preferred, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook
Ability to relocate within the company
Effective interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Decision-making and problem-solving skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
