7 Waco, TX Waco, TX Full-time Full-time $20 - $26 an hour $20 - $26 an hour HOLT CAT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II for its Waco, Texas location.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs maintenance services to Company facilities in the Waco region.
This position is also responsible for maintaining repair cost, reporting the status of facilities maintenance request, diagnosing needed repairs, leading project, and task assignments, and performing facilities repair services.
Essential Functions:
Performs complex maintenance, repairs, and upgrading of facilities and grounds, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.
Assures all work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to specification Monitor, evaluate, and report the ongoing status of facilities, buildings, and equipment to ensure that they meet or exceed operational requirements Determine timely, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance methods to ensure alignment with organizational needs Negotiate and communicate with contractors and vendors regarding service requirements, costs, etc.
Receives and completes work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor used Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Plumbing-must be able to troubleshoot, repair, install faucets, toilets, water heaters, solder copper pipping, and clear minor stoppages Electrical-must be able to troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues.
Able to change ballasts, and lighting fixtures or replace entire fixtures.
Minor construction work required Painting to include patching drywall, installing drywall, along with taping and texturing HVAC-Able to make minor repairs to HVAC units, change out air filters, and clean coil units.
Knowledge of operating scaffolding, ladders, boom lifts, and scissor lift Knowledge of safety procedures as they relate to the general maintenance operations Knowledge of estimating, planning, and controlling the cost of repair jobs Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in the mechanical repair Education and
Experience:
2 or more years of experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license required Must have a safe driving record Travel:
Up to 50% of travel, including overnight, may be expected Job Type:
