Job Description:
The Logs and Records and Nondestructive Testing Manager will be responsible for overseeing two departments:
Aircraft Logs & Records (5 employees) and Nondestructive Testing (5 employees), in addition to managing the Document Control process for the site.
Duties include establishing, managing, and monitoring all Aircraft Logs and Records actions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date status while aircraft are on-site undergoing Depot Maintenance or while inducted for modifications as directed by government contracts/programs.
This position will be the focal point for all Aircraft Logs and Records related matters pertaining to the contract/program.
The manager is also responsible for general oversight of nondestructive testing operations and coordintion / monitoring of bi-annual procedure reviews.
Essential Functions:
Establish and manage requirements for aircraft logs, records, plans, and schedules to ensure accurate record keeping on assigned contracts/programs.
Oversee/conduct in-depth aircraft records investigations regarding missing, incomplete, or contradictory information received from the customer to reconcile.
Interface with program office and customer concerning maintenance issues; develops preventive and corrective action plans to accomplish improvement as needed.
Establish and monitor a Monthly Maintenance Plan, cataloging required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements to include:
technical directives, high time components, and airworthiness.
Monitor, review, and release required reports in accordance with applicable technical directives and contractual statement of works which have significant impact on business operations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance which requires U.
S.
citizenship.
Oversee nondestructive inspection operations, managing procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.
Skilled Level 3 NDT technician is a member of the team to assist with detailed training / day-to-day tasks.
Coordinate and monitor required bi-annual procedure reviews for all documents at the Waco facility to comply with AS9100D quality management system requirements.
Experienced leader with strong leadership and interpersonal skills including communications, facilitation, consulting, coaching, and influencing.
Self-motivated and possess demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve timely results.
Highly collaborative style, capable of working across multiple functional areas to drive results.
Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
Must be able to work some casual overtime.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
4
years experience in maintaining Aircraft Logs and Records and Maintenance Data Management systems.
4
years experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) 4
years experience in technical writing and presentation skills such as reporting and briefing Customers and Sr.
Leadership.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Solumina, SAP, Automated Maintenance Management System - CAMS, OMA, REMIS, or GO81.
