Job Description:
The Internal Audit Intern will assist experience internal auditors in performing various University audits and help the department achieve its objectives.
The overall objective of Internal Audit is to provide all levels of university management and the Baylor Board of Regents with an independent assessment of the quality of the University's internal controls and administrative processes and to provide recommendations and suggestions for continuous improvement.
Functions of the Position:
Perform purchasing card and expense report auditsAssist in the performance of various audits and reviewsIntroduction to internal auditingAnswer phones and greet guests on an as-needed basisFiling and clerical responsibilities as-neededRequired Skills:
Strong technology skills in Microsoft Excel and Word and Adobe AcrobatStrong communication and writing skillsAbility to collaborate within a team environment LearningMaintain regular and punctual attendanceOutcomes:
Gain a basic understanding of performing audit proceduresLearn to work in a collaborative office environmentProvide excellent customer service to clientsPrioritize and take initiativeAdministrative and Office Services IoProvide general office assistance and supportoGreet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provideinformationoMaintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of informationoAssist with various projects, activities or tasks as neededoAbility to comply with University policiesoMaintain regular and punctual attendanceCompetencies:
