4 Full-time 2 days ago Full Job Description What We're Looking For Baylor University is seeking a full-time Database Maintenance Support to join the team.
Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Understanding of the needs of a diverse student population within a Christian higher education setting and an openness to cultural humility Self-motivated to learn and apply new and complex processes Results oriented Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to interact and coordinate well with staff, students, and library patrons Be successful communicating and interacting with all campus populations including students, faculty, and staff A Bachelor's degree, one year of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required.
Three years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Experience manipulating complex, highly detailed data and library cataloging and/or technical services experience is preferred.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do In consultation with collection development and the Assistant Director of CAMS, coordinate and assist with high priority database maintenance projects, such as withdrawals, reinstates, and transfer of materials from the Moody and Jones Libraries as needed Correct problems identified by stacks maintenance and circulation personnel, including problems identified through inventory projects Identify and resolve errors in the online catalog, including those resulting from system migration Assist in maintaining the libraries' holdings in OCLC WorldCat Perform complex copy cataloging of monographs What You Can Expect As part of the Baylor family, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, generous time off, tuition remission, and outstanding automatic retirement contributions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
