Summary:
Plans, organizes, develops and manages the operations of the Physical/Occupational Therapy Section, including all activities related to staffing, work assignments, hiring/termination, performance reviews, orientation and professional development.
MAINTAINS POSITIVE AND ON-GOING WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND THE PUBLIC TO ENSURE THAT QUALITY PATIENT CARE IS OBTAINED.
Acts as liaison for rehabilitative services with medical staff, administrative personnel, patients and public as applicable.
PERFORMS COMPREHENSIVE PATIENT EVALUATIONS UPON RECEIPT OF A CONSULT TO DEVELOP A PLAN OF CARE AND TREATMENT PROGRAM.
Reviews medical documentation and patient history.
Selects and accurately performs appropriate tests and measures.
Develops effective treatment plans and objective goals with timeframes.
Communicates the role of rehabilitative services to patients and significant others.
PERFORMS OTHER POSITION APPROPRIATE DUTIES AS REQUIRED IN A COMPETENT, PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS MANNER.
